The upper
body must tilt away from the target at impact.
In an ideal
Natural Golf swing, the upper body is tilted to the trailing side at
setup. This sets the body for a power strike at impact. It also eliminates
the need to reset the body to a tilt on the trailing side during backswing which
occurs in a traditional golf swing.
By starting
in this tilted position it increases your chances of keeping your head
behind the ball at impact.
The proper spine tilt to the trailing edge in the setup puts the outside of the leading shoulder in line with the inside of the leading knee and the outside of the trailing shoulder in line with the outside of the trailing knee. A line across the top of the shoulders will be perpendicular to the spine, placing the leading shoulder and leading hip higher than the trailing shoulder and hip. The head naturally follows this same tilt and remains aligned with the spine. |
